IPCC publishes Special Report on impact of 1.5 degree target

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is urging rapid action because the earth is warming up faster and with more serious consequences than expected.

In the IPCC’s view, limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees is still technically feasible, but requires rapid action in all fields (e.g. energy production, land use, urban development, transport, construction and industry) and a significant strengthening of the measures.
